Addiction Intervention and family interventions are highly structured meetings
of acquaintances, family and/or work associates
coming together jointly to encourage
an addicted person (or any struggling person) to seek assistance. Often an addicted
individual is naive or unable to visualize, not to mention feeling, the destruction
they're producing within the family.
Most addicts hang on to the belief that they will be able to beat their
addiction on their own - after they decide the time is appropriate. Sadly, this is
usually an unrealistic expectation.
